Where Can I Serve?
Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the biblical and core values of Hermosa Community Church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads to every nation. Hermosa Community ministers are involved in a variety of ministries from things as important as serving orphanages and senior citizens centers in Central America to teenagers, cleaning and doing landscaping on parks throughout our neighborhood.
Mission Outreach
Hermosa Community Church is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s Kingdom around the world. We are active in sending missionaries and supporting these missionaries with our money and with our prayers. Rev. Edwin & Juanita Ramos – Missionaries They have served as pastors and church planters in Guatemala, 17 churches, their native country, and as pastors (Gary, Indiana), and missionaries here in the United States and Spain. They joined our church in 1976 and have served in different areas.
Music
God-honoring life style and worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our music ministry. Some play their instruments. Others are involved in Worship Teams. Everything we do at Hermosa Community Church is prepare attendees for what would undoubtedly they will be doing throughout eternity. Our praise towards God distinguishes itself because we praise with contemporary music while honoring those that left a legacy in their musical compositions. “God seeks worshipers, who worship in Spirit and Truth.” Carlos Castro – Lay Pastor & Music Director Carlos met Jesus as his Savior in 1994; he has shown constant spiritual growth during those years. He became our music director in 2002. Carlos has a degree from Instituto Bíblico Defensores de la Fe headquartered in New York.
Asimmilation
The assimilation team at Hermosa Community Church fills an important role. They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, handing out weekly bulletins, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free. The assimilation team is a servant-hearted group of men and women whose ministry is integral to church life.
Marriages
Marriages can be difficult to maintain. Misunderstanding, confusion, resentment, and anger can flare up in any marriage. Job & Danette Ramos serve the Hermosa Community Church family by facilitating workshops and conferences on Marriage.
Prayer
Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Hermosa Community Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each Wednesday, we pray for any special requests, and prayer needs, the church comes together for a special time of prayer and Bible study.
Small Groups
Small groups are the veins for our ministry and serve as a platform to help people to join our church. Small groups meet during the week both at church and different households. “We taught and announced the message both publicly and in houses.” We have Small Groups in Cicero, Chicago, Geneva and serve Single Men – Single Women – Youth – Adult English Speakers and Adult Spanish Speakers

Leadership Development
Biblical Leadership Development is critical for the life of any organism that is the reason why our ministers participate in leadership workshops and conferences both within and outside of church. Hermosa is a living organism not an organization.
